The 5th International Scientific-Sport Congress
Under the title of "Towards the Future" was held on September 23-24, 2005 by the Islamic Federation of Women Sports in Hotel Azadi in Tehran. Some 500 individuals from Iranian and foreign scientific-sport centers attended the event to discuss the ways for the promotion of sports among women.
Lecturers of this congress:
· Dr. Reza Qarakhanlou the President of Islamic Republic of Iran's Olympic Committee
· Dr. Mohammad Saleh Qazdar the secretary of Sports Solidarity Federation from Riyadh
· Gianni Morlo the President of the International Sports Press Association delivered lectures in the congress
The congress which was held in the frame of panel discussion, the lectures and discourses were simultaneously interpreted in Persian, Arabic, and English languages.
Each panel discussed the main problems facing women sports especially Muslim women and proposed solutions for removing the problems.
